ಭಾರತ ದೇಶ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಬೀಡು. ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ನಾಡು. ಕಲೆ, ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ದೇಶ ನಮ್ಮದು. ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ತಾಯಿಯಂತೆ ಪೂಜಿಸುವ, ಪಂಚಭೂತಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರಂತೆ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಭರತಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸಾಟಿ ಏನಿದೆ. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು, ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ, ಮದರ್ ತೆರೇಸಾ ನಂತಹ ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಈ ಮಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ.

ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗರ್ಭವಾಗಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇನು? ಸರ್ವ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ತೋಟ ಎಂಬ ಸಾಲು ಕೇವಲ ನಾಡಗೀತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಯಿತೇ. ಜಾತಿ ಧರ್ಮಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಗುದ್ದಾಟ ನಡೆಸುವ ನಾವುಗಳು “ಭಾರತಾಂಬೆ” ಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ಮರೆತಿದ್ದೇವೆಯೇ..?

ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ದೇವಿಯಂತೆ ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ “ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರವೆಂಬ” ಕುಕೃತ್ಯವು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೇಳ ಹೊರಟರೆ ಒಂದೇ ಎರಡೇ. ಸಾಲು ಸಾಲು ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿ ನಿಂತು ಮಾದರಿ ದೇಶ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವು ಇಂತಹ ಕುಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರಬಹುದು. ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ದಂಧೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮರವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಕನಸಿನ ಕೂಸುಗಳು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ “ಯುವಜನತೆ” ಇಂದು ಅಮಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಒದ್ದಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ದೇಶದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಲು ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಬೇಕಾದವರು ಯಾರು….?

ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಸಂಹಾರವೇ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದೇನೋ. ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಮರೆತು ಬದುಕುವ ಮನುಜರಿಗೆ ನೈತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಅರಿವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆಯೋ, ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ನಶೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆಯೋ ಉತ್ತರ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕಾದವರು ನಾವುಗಳೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ….?
