ಉಡುಪಿ: ನಗರದ ಕೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಮೆಹೆಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿ ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮುಗಿಯುವ ತನಕ ಕೋಟ ಠಾಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿ ಉಡುಪಿ ಎಸ್ಪಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ದನ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೊರಗ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮೆಹಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಠಿಚಾರ್ಜ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಆರೋಪ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪಿಎಸ್ ಐ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಮತ್ತು ಐವರು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಠಾಣೆಯಿಂದ ಶಿಫ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಆದೇಶದವರೆಗೆ ಪಿಎಸ್ ಐ ಮತ್ತು 5 ಮಂದಿ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಕೋಟ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಎಸ್ ಪಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಉಡುಪಿ ಡಿಎಸ್ ಪಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು ,ನಾಳೆ ಸಂಜೆಯ ಒಳಗೆ ತನಿಖೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ. ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ವರಿಷ್ಠಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಢಿ ನಡೆಸಿ , ಘಟನೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಂಡಿತ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇರಲಿ.ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಘಟನೆಯ ವಿವರ: ಕೋಟತಟ್ಟು ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕೊರಗ ಕಾಲನಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಎನ್ನುವಾತನಿಗೆ ಕುಮಟಾದ ಯುವತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ವರನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಮೆಹಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯುತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಡಿಜೆ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರೊಬ್ಬರು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳೆನ್ನದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೂ ಲಾಠಿ ಚಾರ್ಜ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 9 ಮಂದಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಮೆಹಂದಿ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ವರ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಸ್ ಟಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಖಂಡ ಸಹಿತ ಐವರನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡ ಎಸ್ಟಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದವರು ರಾತ್ರೋರಾತ್ರಿ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪೊಲೀಸರ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾರಿ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
